Apparently, the colour you choose for your car says a lot about who you really are. Obviously, this is even more true for those of us picking out a brand new family car – but it’s also true in which second hand cars we’re drawn to, even though we may not be consciously aware of it.
According to the report commissioned by Carcraft, psychologists reckon almost a third of all car buyers go for silver. And what do silver car pickers crave? Why money of course; you see, it’s easy!
More specifically, silver car buyers want to be seen to have both wealth and prestige – which is a different thing entirely from actually having it of course!
So if you’re looking out for a soul mate, perhaps silver car drivers are best avoided in favor of those behind the wheels of blue cars; people who are peaceful and serene and who value relationships over money.
Black car drivers are mini dictators, apparently, as they want to stamp their authority on the world, whilst red car drivers are altogether more passionate people.
Grey car choices signify stability and reliability, whilst purple car drivers are self-assured, arty types who love all things beautiful.
Yellow car pickers are confident and not afraid to let out one’s inner child (no kidding!?) whilst a gold choice signifies a desire to express independence – and you thought gold was going to be all about wealth didn’t you?
Meanwhile, an orange car choice is apparently a sign of a happy person who enjoys his/her unique nature – but also craves attention.
And – saving the best till last – a green car person is, as you might expect, someone with an environmental conscience. Green car selectors are also conscientious drivers who like to smooth over tense situations.
So, for the best of both worlds, go for a green car driver in actuality, whose car is also “green” metaphorically, such as a hybrid or electric car and you’re into a winner!
